Congratulations to Laura and Ros for winning their categories, John and Katherine for finishing 2nd in theirs (no prizes for 2nd here, unfortunately), and to Hugh for breaking Paul Creasey's club MV70 record, which was also set at Winslow back in 2015. Remember that your best 4 results will count overall, so if you've missed a round (which many people have), then all is not lost, and you may still win the coveted shield. Other than that, the usual explanation applies, in that this is a handicap competition, so you are rated against last year's performances, and the most improved should win. If you didn't take part last year, a handicap figure is assigned, and this is hopefully chosen so as to keep people interested, but no one should win thanks to an arbitrarily decided handicap.
