Eynsham Road Runners Update – Getting back to the run and the light nights are calling!

Hi folks,

A lot is happening soon at our friendly running club.

Please read on to find out what and when!

Hope to see you soon.

Best wishes,

Simon Walker (Club Chair)

Club Night – Re-starting on Wednesday, March 31st, Eynsham Pavilion Field

We meet for an 18:30 departure.

The car park will be open, the Pavilion will not be open.

There are approx. 10 paces to choose from including a brand new walking group through to a 7 min/ mile group

All runs are 5-6 miles depending on route chosen by the leader with exception of one group which will be 3-4 miles.

To avoid traffic-jams the fastest group will leave first. As before – max 6 per group.

Guide for our return is here and England Athletics Guidance here.

A guide to register for your run on the RunTogether site is here.

Speed training – Re-starting on Tuesday, March 30th

It’s back!

Out and back 10k – Saturday or Sunday, March 27th or March 28th

A virtual race and competition web site here.

It would be great to get some more ERR representation!

Two for the price of one? If you’d like to count the first half of your out ’n’ back 10k as your Virtual Park Run – you can!

Logo competition – Entries by Wednesday, March 31st

The logo is 30 so we’re updating it!

Popular with a core group of members and good for the core of your running, and a whole lot more!

Why not give it a go?

For those considering events later in the year, it’s a superb training partner and also great for a bit of me time.

Remember – Pilates is open to non-club members – so do spread the word!

More info here.

Local Events

Next month we’re starting to plan for the Eynsham 10k (we hope to make it happen!) scheduled for Nov 28th – please save the date.

Oxford Half recently announced for October 17th.

The Abingdon Marathon is back on for October 24th – look out for more places over the next week. Also the organisers have been in touch looking for organisational and marshalling support.

The RunWythamWoods event is pencilled in for October 10th – I think Andy Goodwin (Race Director) and the team will be asking for support down the line.
