ERR Update – Taking Stock of Now

Dear all,

Normally we meet at Eynsham Pavilion at 18:30 every Wednesday and now we would be enjoying running through Wytham Woods, along the River Thames and participating in the annual Motavation racing series, a real summer-season highlight.

These are not normal times, nevertheless the invention and fortitude of our running community is bringing some new routines and some new experiences. Perhaps most importantly, we are together!

During the past nine weeks, 76 of our runners have completed virtual park-runs which take place, solo, at 9am every Saturday morning.

The main thing is participation and some routine. Interestingly, some run times are improving too!

We have several events happening at the moment – please see below for full details – including a monthly running challenge, which has captured the imagination differently, “How far can you run in an hour?”

We have new Wednesday evening highlight, “Pilates for Runners LIVE with Frankie Snare” which is enjoyed by around 45 runners each week, over Zoom. We are building our strength and becoming more aware of our posture and core power. We are also discovering new muscles, movements and flexibilities.

We invite you to join us! Please email us at eynsham.err@gmail.com – we would love to invite you to try us out.

Best wishes,

Simon Walker
