Membership

We’re always delighted to welcome new members to Eynsham Roadrunners. If you think you’d like to join our club, we recommend that you come along to one of our Wednesday evening sessions (6.30pm at Eynsham pavilion). This is our main club run of the week, where you’ll get to meet lots of other members. It’s a good idea to contact us before coming along so we can introduce you to everyone and make you feel welcome.

Please see our new members pages to find out more about our training, racing and social activities throughout the year. This includes a Q&A for potential members that we hope will allay any fears you may have about joining a running club!

All ERR members get 10% off at Fit2Run and Up and Running

Joining the Club

While we encourage new members to come and try the club out before joining, we do ask you to submit a membership application form after a few trial visits.

You can download a membership form here. If applying for family membership, all adults need to sign and juniors’ names need to be endorsed on the form.

You will also need to complete a Physical Activity Readiness (PAR Q) form.

The contact point for new members is our Membership Secretary, John Rowland. Please send your completed membership application form or any queries to John at membershipsecretary.eynsham@gmail.com, or hand your form in at club night.

England Athletics Registration

For paid up members wishing to compete in races as first claim runner for Eynsham Roadrunners, ERR will register you with England Athletics and pay your annual EA fee. England Athletics will then send you an electronic registration pack with your ‘unique registration number’ or URN, so you can get the club-affiliated discount (usually £2) when you enter a race.

As we are affiliated to England Athletics, we are subject to their data protection declaration. Please note that we can’t renew or process your membership with England Athletics without a signed membership form.

If you want to compete for the club and make the saving on race entries registration is compulsory if you are over 11.

If you are already registered with another club in England/UK you can only register as second claim for Eynsham, so that’s a non-competing membership fee.

Juniors

As a club we welcome families and junior members as part of the family membership. However, please note that at the moment we do not have a youth structure within our club. This means that parents need to run with their children at club nights. Children are very welcome to run in the junior sections of the winter Oxon county cross country series, but need to travel with and be accompanied by their parents. As above, if a junior wants to compete for Eynsham in an U13 or higher age group league EA registration is generally required.
