How To Pay Your Membership

How To Pay Your Membership

Membership fees

The AGM sets the membership fees annually in January. Members are asked to renew their membership in February – you will receive a reminder from the Treasurer.

For new members who wish to compete, as well as the annual membership fee there is a one-off joining fee.**  This entitles you to a club vest – you can get this from Nick Hardwick, using the club shop voucher in your electronic welcome pack. Please note that the joining fee is per individual.

It is now split into a club fee and, if you want to compete first claim for ERR, you then add the EA Registration fee.  Our Membership secretary processes the EA registration for all ERR competing members.  membershipsecretary.eynsham@gmail.com

If you are not EA registered then members are either second claim, non-competing runners or social (i.e. not runners)

Who Pays What

Everyone pays the Club Fee set at £5 for 2024.

There is a family rate of £10 see T&C’s below*.

THE EA Fee, if wanted, applies as follows, it saves you money on most race entry fees, but you are normally expected to run in your club colours,

This EA cost rises to £19 in April 2024, but the increase is being absorbed by the club.

Juniors (as at 1st April)

Under 11’s do not need to register with EA

Over 11 register with EA only if want to compete as an Eynsham first claim in the u13 league or above

Over 18 are seniors

(1st April date for age calculation may be different for different events, the event drives the need to register)

Seniors

EA register with us only if want to compete as Eynsham first claim,

EA registration means you don’t pay a non-affiliated fee for an UKA approved event, if one is charged.

The 2024 annual membership fees are:

Membership One-off Joining Fee **
Club FEE £5.00 Only if want a club vest   £22

Or £18.50 for Juniors

Competing Adults add £17,      so £22 £22
Juniors add £17,      so £22 £18.50
Family Membership* £10 plus £17 for anyone requiring EA membership Individual joining fees as above, if applicable

* Family Membership covers up to 2 adults and 3 children under 18 – when a child turns 18, the adult rate applies from the next AGM.

** The joining fee may be revised if kit costs rise significantly, or new members want a different, more expensive item. If a new member does not want to compete

***YCR graduates have a free social membership for that year, when they pass the course and complete the application form.

How do I pay?

In the current climate an online bank transfer is the simplest method.

Bank Transfer (preferred)

ERR Membership Account – Sort Code      30-19-83        Account Number      14040260

If you pay online, making an online payment from your bank account, please ensure your payment makes it clear who the membership is for. The transaction should show the name of the account holder – but please use the reference field to quote your name, especially if different to the account name.

If the transaction is complex, e.g. involving multiple payments and different names, please email Hugh, the Club Treasurer, (treasurer.eynsham.err@gmail.com) a screen print of your bank online payment “success” screen along with clarification as to the payment.

Cheques should be made payable to Eynsham Road Runners Club. Please hand the cheque to the Treasurer or a committee member on club night.  Debit cards can be taken too.

Cash payments to the treasurer are also fine, though please try and give the exact money.
