Charndon 5K, 20th May 2008
Excellent conditions for running, apart from a few tractors who were determined to get involved, meant for some PBs on this fast course. Sheila won the wine and her report is below.

It was
quite a long way to go for a short race but it was an enjoyable evening on a
good night for running. There were 10 men and 10 ladies which was a good
turnout for a midweek race. The race was in the Club Championship and also
in the Short League. There were first appearances in the competitions from
Kevin Dawson, Nik Roberts and Dafydd Warburton. First home in the Club
Championship was Dafydd for the men and Lesley for the ladies. In the Short
League first man home was Peter Larbalestier and the first lady was Kate
Bird. Well done to Denise Bridges, Katherine Bates, Nik Roberts and Jane
Bishop who all had PBs. There was the usual pub stop for refreshments on
the way home at the Red Lion in Wendlebury.
